High Resolution Manometry |
Measurement of rhythmic waves in the anal sphincter(Newborns)
Tightly spaced sensors placed in the anal sphincter will capture any pressure based rhythmic waves, and will be a definitive measurement regarding the absence of rectal anal inhibitory reflex.
Accurate and Natural Results
Stationary method will give more accurate and natural result regarding examination than the pull through method.
Topography of a recorded resting pressure with 10ch inserted in the anal canal and 2ch placed outside the anal sphincter.
(HRAM catheter containing 12ch of pressure sensors)
Catheter's sensor placement is 60mm in length, enough to cover the length of anal sphincter while having room for movement of the catheter.
As a result, the retal anal inhibitory reflex (RAIR) can easily and safely be identified.
12 channel catheter with 10 channels inside the anal canal. The graph represents recorded squeeze pressure test.
